Personal reflection of the competence:
The purpose in any for profit business is to make a profit and continue to do so. Those of us who work in not-for-profit organizations have a different view of profitability. We strive to save and manage financial resources as best as possible. In the job as Treasurer of the Northeastern Conference I implemented an accounting system with the main goals of streamlining the accounting system, making it more efficient and saving numerous man hours of manual accounting labor, hence saving the conference money. This system enabled us to capture every financial transaction on a daily basis and have that activity recorded in the books of the conference.
