and for the development of environmental sustainability<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Personal reflection of the competence:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Northeastern Annex, a 185 apartment complex, once completed will be the only \u201cgreen building\u201d in that neighborhood of South Jamaica, Queens, New York.&nbsp; This is an initiative that was thought of by me and worked on tirelessly for over two years along with two development consultants.&nbsp; This project will provide housing to senior citizens and rents will be subsidized by the City of New York.&nbsp; The consultants worked with me closely to acquire funding for this project.&nbsp; The total projected cost of $98,000,000.&nbsp;&nbsp; All of this funding was acquired through the use of tax credits from Fortune 500 companies here in the United States.&nbsp; This building will be completely green, utilizing energy efficient windows, doors, solar heating and cooling, green spaces for seniors to plant and grow vegetables and flowers.&nbsp; It should also have a system in place to recycle waste water.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery columns-3 is-cropped\"><ul
